Contact via email: [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) The John Birch Society is an education and action organization that defends the U.S. Constitution and the governing principles established by our Founding Fathers, which created the freest and most prosperous people ever. --- 1. **What is the John Birch Society?** _We are an information and action organization founded in 1958 by Robert Welch.  Our namesake, John Birch, was a missionary turned intelligence officer during WWII.  He was killed by Chinese Communists who took over with Mao Zedong._ 2. **Is the Society still around?** _Well yes, as you can see.  Understand, we rarely seek the limelight and frankly since our entire existence rubs up against The Deep State, Big Tech, Big Pharma, Big Media et al, they are not too fond of publishing accolades of how we may be defeating them. But trust me, we are effective._  3. **How many members are there?**  _We keep our membership roles private.  But we do have members in every state and chapters all over the country.  Hopefully we can count you in soon…if you are not a member already!_ 4. **What is a chapter?** _A Chapter is a small group of members (10-15) in the same area who work on the agenda items we publish each month.  Those agenda items are sent to nationwide membership in the form of a bulletin. The bulletin serves as a to-do list for the month. Remember I said information and action?  We don’t want to just educate people. We want them to do something about it too. Putting it into practice is the most rewarding part._ 5. **What kind of things do we do?**  _We meet with our elected officials.  Spearhead email and phone calling campaigns.  Host educational events (like the webinar you tuned into) at a house, library, meeting hall, table at local festivals and fairs. Things like that but not limited to just those things. Much of the bulletin focuses on the national level narrative however the practices and issues often stem to local issues as well.  The local chapter chooses how and what to address. The important part is all the members doing the same thing at the same time.
